summer of love

“First, we both just laughed, just a few nights a week, nothing too serious. Then we noticed our thoughts already jumping forward to those nights, and even before the next morning came I was thirsty for more. Reality.”

Ylioppilasteatteri, Helsinki

directed by Jenni Korpela and Elena Rekola

COVID-19 made short work of the originally planned debut in December 2020 and our original plans never came to fruition. The working group then opted for an updated play with a more refined structure, costumes and in a different location.

As this project was realized as a part of Ylioppilasteatteri’s program, we focused on creative freedom and decided not to pursue capital aspects.

Pastel dream, pastel nightmare, pastel reality

Devicing an entire play is a unique challenge for the whole project group, including actors on stage. In coordination with the other artists and technical crew we created an interesting ensemble of pastel nightmares, pastel dreams and were leading onto what the reality tv of the future could look like.
